Welcome to Advantage Stringing. I'm here to provide you with the best tennis racquet stringing service possible. I offer an excellent selection of strings for you to choose from. Everything from synthetic gut, multifilament, poly to natural gut. I also offer full service on your racquet for customization. Need your racquets matched or customized? All of your racquets can be matched to your specifications for swing weight, weight and balance. Also, please contact me if you have racquetball stringing needs. I offer several racquetball-specific strings and grips for your game.
You may need a synthetic gut, natural gut, poly or even a hybrid to get the most out of your game. Let me help you to determine the optimal string to bring out your best. We can discuss your type of game and level to help you choose your string. There are many factors to consider - price, durability vs. playability, level, age, among other things. That's why I carry a large assortment of strings because everyone is different with different needs. Also, if you have elbow/wrist/arm pain, I carry strings that will provide comfort while you continue to play.
Consistency is the key to a good stringing service. I use a professional Alpha stringing machine with an electronic constant pull tension head, calibrating it regularly to ensure consistent stringing tension. Electronic stringers offer the most consistent stringbed for your racquet and that's why I use one. When you request a specific tension, that's the tension you'll receive. I have been stringing racquets for over 25 years and as an independant stringer, I offer a low cost, high quality service for your racquet. I work out of my house and have little to no overhead, so the savings over a sporting goods store or club can be substantial. I generally string locally, however, I can provide mail service to you from anywhere you are located in the CONUS via FEDEX/UPS/USPS.
I'm a playtester for Wilson/Luxilon strings and have tested several strings prior to them going to market. Every string that I carry has been personally tested by me. That way, I can give you first hand experience on the individual string's performance. I am also testing other strings on an ongoing basis in order to provide you with the best for your game. I'm here to help you decide on the right string for your playing style. I'm certified as a Master Racquet Technician (MRT) and a certified stringer from the United States Racquet Stringer's Association. The MRT is the highest and most difficult certification to get from the USRSA. The MRT designation recognizes a thorough knowledge of strings, stringing, customization and other racquet services through study and testing. There are only 600 or so MRT's in the world and this certification is a must for stringers who string for professional tournaments.
When you break a string, you need it restrung fast. My goal is to have a 24hr (or less) turnaround for your stringing. If you don't have time to bring your racquet to me, make sure to check out my local pickup and delivery service for only $4.
